Whew. ...it's hard to believe that the summer of 2016 is already gone. ..it feels like the kids were just getting out of school!
We have had a wonderful summer with lots of quality family time and some fun adventures along the way!

Mom and Dad also took the oldest two grandkids on an adventure out west to South Dakota this summer. They spent a week traveling around and enjoying God's creation...and each other!
They went hiking, fishing, two-tracking, eating....and even went to a neat rodeo. They also spent some time with our dear friends that farm in South Dakota.
They all had a fantastic week and made some wonderful memories!
Madison and I had the opportunity to travel to Sumpango, Guatemala with 13 others from our area during July.
We spent the week working at a church doing construction projects, a vbs, and working at an Aids/HIV orphanage.
We took mom's puppets along and did puppet shows at the church everyday for 69 kids and 75 kids at the orphanage. We were able to see God working in the kids hearts as many of them gave their lives to Jesus!
We want to say a special thank you to ALL of you that supported us in any way! As parents, we had challenged Madison to try and earn enough money to pay for her own plane ticket. She made things for our Christmas sale, beach towels, babysitting etc. ...her total earned was $927. When we went to pay for her plane ticket, the total was $927.10! It was a great example of faith and she was overwhelmed by everyone's generosity..... so THANK YOU!!!
And on a side note. ..if you EVER have the opportunity to go on a mission trip with your children. ..DO IT...it is SO worth the sacrifices! It is life changing for all involved!
